Review cork 15th Dec
Willie Mullins has a host of promising youngsters at his disposal and Morning Supreme entered the Cheltenham Festival picture when taking her jumps record to two wins from two attempts at Cork.
Sent off the 30-100 favourite for the Newmarket Mares Novice Hurdle in light of a stylish Limerick win, the Champion Bumper fifth demolished her opponents from the front under Ruby Walsh.
Although not entirely fluent at every hurdle, the six-year-old never saw another rival and eased home 21 lengths ahead of Grancore Girl
Victor Chandler introduced her at 20-1 for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and Mullins said: "She seemed to jump a lot better today. Even when she got close she didn't lose ground.
"I'll try and find a similar race for her. If she makes as much improvement again she would be up to graded company."< Diophas justified market support under Andrew McNamara in the opening Dromahane Maiden Hurdle.
Edward O'Grady's 9-10 favourite took over from early leader Western Palm at the last in the back straight and readily came home seven lengths clear of Dbanks
O'Grady said: "Looking at that today I'm sorry I didn't put him in the Pierse Hurdle. I don't know where he'll go next."
McNamara doubled up on 14-1 shot D's Trix in the Dromdowney Handicap Hurdle, trained by his father Andrew McNamara senior.
The gelding made stealthy headway after four out and had enough in reserve at the death to beat Soleil Levant by two and a half lengths.
The winning trainer said: "He'll go to Limerick at Christmas. He'll jump a fence in time and is a nice horse."
McNamara was only just denied a three-timer in the Fermoy Maiden Hurdle as his mount Acapulco went under to Liam Burke's Seven Days (8-1) in a pulsating finish.
Lenny Flynn conjured a late rattle out of Knockieran (14-1) to get up close home in the Ballyclough Handicap Hurdle, while 7-4 market leader Lonesome Dove took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares INH Flat Race.
