Xenia strikes for Brabazon
Kristal Xenia opened her account at the second time of asking when claiming the Kells Maiden at Navan for owner/trainer Dick Brabazon.
Seamus Hefferan produced his mount with a well-timed run in the final furlong to record a three-parts-of-a-length success over Light It Up
"She's a small filly but as game as hell and she has always shown speed," said Brabazon.
"She'll be a right all-weather filly. She likes nice ground and we were lucky the rain didn't really get into the ground here.
"She was meant to run at Dundalk last Friday but got a tiny allergy at declaration time. She could run on the all-weather now but definately won't run on soft ground."
