Rule The World will miss this afternoon's Grade 1 Navan Novice Hurdle after picking up a stone bruise.
Mouse Morris' gelding looked set to be a strong second string in the feature event for owners Gigginstown, who also have short-priced favourite Don Cossack
Gordon Elliott 's charge will now face just four rivals in the two-and-a-half mile event and has hardened into 1/2 favourite (from 8/13).
Muirhead is also an absentee from the Grade 2 Tara Hurdle.
