The HOLLYWOODBETS HORSE RACING AND SPORTS BETTING Maiden was easily won by the well-backed favourite Woodrow (11/4 into 11/8).
Rory Cleary sat second on the Ivawood colt as the front-running Glow Worm (4/1) went very hard in front and Woodrow came through to head that one over a furlong out.
It was all over from that point as the winner scored by an easy four and three quarter lengths from Glow Worm who was finishing second for the eleventh time in 23 starts.
The winning 4-year-old had been placed in his last three starts in handicap company at this track.
Winning trainer Cormac Farrell said: "We always thought he was a lovely horse but he’s been a bit frustrating.
"As a two-year-old we thought he was going to be a 90 horse. He won’t get there but hopefully he’ll go up through the grades a little bit.
“There was a lot of pace on and as Rory said he could have latched on at any stage. He’s a quick horse.
"Five or six is no problem and hopefully we’ll have a bit of fun with him.”
