Whosgotyanow upset the odds when taking the Start Your Free Trial At //racingtv.com/join Mares Chase for Andy Slattery and Cian Quirke at Clonmel.
The market suggested this 2m2f event would be a formality for Magic Daze who was sent off the 2/7 favourite against just three rivals.
The front running Kitty Galore fell four out and when Whosgotyanow made a mistake at the next, it looked at the mercy of the hot favourite.
However, Magic Daze found little when Rachael Blackmore asked for an effort after the penultimate fence and Whosgotyanow galloped on strongly for Quirke on the run-in to score by eight lengths. Trans Wood trailed throughout finishing a further 12 lengths back.
Slattery said, "I didn't see that coming but Henry's mare underperformed as it was her first run of the year and probably needed it. We, on the other hand, had race-fitness on our side and were going all summer.
"We were afraid of the ground as all her form is on good ground and hence we put the tongue-tie on as she had her palate operated on before. Surprisingly Cian said she loved the ground
"We'll go for a handicap chase now or else look for blacktype in mares' chases. Ronan (Tynan, owner) is a breeder at the end of the day and wants these mares for breeding."
