The Extra Places On The BoyleSports App Maiden Hurdle (Div II) went to the 4/7 favourite West Cork Wildway in the hands of Darragh O’Keeffe.
The Yeats gelding, a dual point-to-point winner who also landed a 2m4f bumper at Tipperary last autumn, moved into second early in the straight.
He had to work hard to get to Small Bad Bob (8/1) but was on terms jumping the last and forged ahead on the run-in to win by a length from that one, with the pair clear of third home Hazran
Tom O’Flynn, father of winning trainer Paul O’Flynn who was on lead-up duty, said: "He won a four year old point to point and ideally he needs a longer trip than today (2m1f) but it is great to win."
"I'm delighted for the 13 member syndicate, who are from West Cork."
