Willie Mullins made it two winners from two runners at Cork as Drury (4/5 fav) took the concluding Enjoy Afternoon Tea At Cork Racecourse August 17th INH Flat Race in the hands of the trainer’s son, Patrick.
The well-bred daughter of Beat Hollow came forward from her fifth place finish at Fairyhouse over Easter to beat Barnet Brook (9/1) by six lengths, with a further five and-a-half length break to Druim Samhraidh (4/1) back in third.
The winning rider Patrick Mullins said: "She is a half-sister to Champ and it was very important to get a win for her.
"Her owners deserve a lot of credit as she has been in our yard for over a year and we've really struggled to keep condition on her.
"It took us until now to train her properly and today is more of a reflection on her ability than her first two runs.
"A lot of the girls in the yard deserve a lot of credit as they did a lot of flat work and lungeing with her.
"We'll look for a hurdle race now; she's not a middle of winter mare."
