Supreme Vic followed-up on her win at Killarney on Thursday, as she took the Packie Downey Memorial Handicap Chase.

Given a sixteen pound rise by the handicapper, the Norman Lee trained ten-year-old carried just a six pound winners penalty here.

Available at 7/2 last night, she came in for plenty of market support, and went off the 13/8 favourite in the colours of owner Paul Mullins.

Prominent throughout she came home with three lengths to spare under Jack Kennedy, with Casimir Road (12/1) finishing second under Andrew Lynch for Stephen Ryan.

The consistent Samanntom (6/1) completed the placings, a further seven lengths back in third under Damien Skehan for Aidan Fogarty.

Norman Lee said afterwards: "We're very proud of her and she was bursting at home and was in some form this morning. It took two of us to hold her around the parade ring!

"If everything is right she might go to Galway but she'll finish up before the end of August (in-foal to Rock Of Gibraltar). There's a two mile handicap hurdle and a chase later in the week for her at Galway.

"I only have seven horses for the track for the summer and have 13 three year olds to come in. We're trying to expand and get up to 30 horses so we're looking for more."
