Dual purpose trainer Denis Hogan has his horses in excellent form at present and recorded his fifth winner in November when his Tithonus (8/1 this morning in to 7/2f) landed the opening Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk this evening.
Ridden by Irish Derby winning jockey Seamie Heffernan the 7/2 favourite made most of the running and eventually saw off the challenge of Missile Command
Hogan, who saddles another likely favourite Long House Island at Thurles tomorrow, wasn't present but Heffernan later commented "he's been a bit disappointing but he stays, and now that he's won one hopefully he can win a couple.
"Denis is a good trainer, and someone in the yard told him that he was ready."
