Dermot Weld's fine season is continuing apace and his Morselle was another of his Khalid Abdullah owned winners at Dundalk this evening, landing the Fundraising Made Easy At Dundalk Stadium Fillies Maiden, under stable jockey Pat Smullen.
The daughter of Showcasing raced prominently throughout before moving to the front a furlong out, eventually scoring a length and a quarter win over Ortiga
Weld later stated "she was at the end of the line (wide draw) when she got to the line and he (Pat Smullen) had to use her up a little to get across.
"The plan is to probably go for a handicap next and I'd say that trip is about right."
