Navan stages its first Festival of Racing this weekend and Willie Mullins holds a strong hand in today’s feature, the Bar One Racing Fortria Chase, as he saddles both Saint Roi and Dysart Dynamo in the Grade 2 contest.
Champion jockey Paul Townend rides Dysart Dynamo and he also rides one of last year’s top novice hurdlers Facile Vega who lines up in the beginners' chase on Saturday.
Townend was chatting to Dave Keena and said that both horses are in good shape: "Yeah, the two of them are going there in good order.
"The conditions suit Dysart Dynamo. He ran into El Fabiolo a couple of times last year but without him around he'd have had a tremendous season.
"It is a nice place to start him off.
"Facile Vega was a star novice hurdler last year, I suppose - one we are really looking forward to getting going over fences.
"I think chasing can improve him even. Schooling has been really good and looking forward to getting him out on the track."
