Townend Full of Confidence on Persian
Paul Townend was full of confidence on Persian City all the way in the I.N.H. Stallion Owners European Breeders Fund Novice Hurdle and that faith in his partner was certainly justified as he coasted to a three length win over the front-running Sallie's Secret
Persian City arrived cantering between Sallie's Secret and Emergency Exit in the straight, a good jump put him in front at the last and Townend only had to exert a minimum to seal the win.
For successful trainer, Willie Mullins, Persian City was completing an across-the-card double after the victory of Mikael D'Haguenet at Punchestown.
Cashmans introduce Persian City at 40/1 for the Ballymore Properties Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham. (EM)
