Tornado springs 20/1 shock
Ben Curtis was on the wrong one in the six furlong handicap at Dundalk as 20/1 shot Tornadodancer caused a shock.
Colm O'Donoghue did the steering on the Tom McCourt-trained gelding and produced him with a strong run inside the final furlong to lead in the closing stages.
In a blanket finish he just got home by the narrowest of margins from Quinmaster with Tellelle a head back in third.
Curtis had the choice of mounts for McCourt but went with Copper Dock after he worked better than his stable-mate at home. He eventually finished twelfth.
"He ran very well here the last day. He was lame behind for about two months and we got no work into him. He needed the run last time," said McCourt.
"Ben thought he would win after the last day but Copper Dock worked better than this fellow last week and he went with him.
"He's a good horse here on his day and is a fresh horse. There is another one over six here for him towards the end of the season."
