Tipp Double for Murtagh
Johnny Murtagh completed a just over thirteen and a half to one double, as he followed on from Astonish in the 5.25, with Divinitus in the Super Sunday on October 5th Rated Race. Michael Grassick's well-backed (7/2 in the morning into 9/4 favourite) three-year-old soon led and kept on strongly in the final furlong to see off the outsider of the six participants, Sinsational by one and a quarter lengths.
Michael Grassick junior said: "Our horses have come to themselves in the last few weeks after being under a cloud. This fellow however, has been well all year, we gave him a little break and the conditions of this race suited him well. Johnny was keen to make the running and said he liked the ground. He seems to go on all types of ground." (EM)
