Timeless holds the call in opener
Timeless Call justified good support to take the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden in the hands of Niall McCullagh.
The 4/1 shot (from 5's) lost any chance when very slowly away on her debut here last month but her supporters had few worries this evening as she travelled smoothly throughout.
The daughter of Sakhee headed Catalpa Sail under two furlongs out, and kept on well to beat that rival by a length. Girl Guide was a further short-head back in third.
“That's it for this year, and we'll see what the handicapper does now. Hopefully she'll have a chance to win another one or two next season. She would have run earlier this year but was held up with sore shins,” said trainer Reginald Roberts assistant Johnny Feane.
