Milsean looked another smart point-to-point recruit for Willie Mullins and owners Gigginstown when taking the concluding bumper at Navan today.
The Milan gelding, winner of his sole start 'between the flags' at Dromahane last April, was sent off 4/5 favourite to get off the mark on his racecourse debut.
Patrick Mullins delivered his mount to challenge on the outer in the straight and he hit the front two furlongs from home.
He was kept going inside the final furlong to record an eight-length win over Bonzo Bing who came through for second.
“He's a huge big staying chaser in the making but he's not slow either,” said Mullins senior.
“I'll be minding what ground he runs on and we'll find a winners' bumper for him.”
It was a treble on the day for champion trainer Mullins who had also claimed the first two races with Aklan and Un De Sceaux
