The feature race of the day the Moyglare Stud Group 1 Stakes caused somewhat of a surprise when 16/1 shot Termagant from the Kevin Prendergast stable ran out a 2 1/2 length winner in the hands of Declan McDonogh.

Winning trainer Prendergast said afterwards: “We were a little bit concerned about the ground but she handled it well.”

“She might not run again this season and she has done a good job. Our aim now will be to comeback here for the 1,000 Irish Guineas.”

“She has always shown us a great deal and the plan was always to come her after she won her debut at Leopardstown.”
