Tear Drops at Wexford again
Tear Drops made it a course and distance double in the Enniscorthy Mares INHS Flat Race as she followed-up her success at Bettyville from three weeks back, with another all-the-way win under Jason McKeown.
Pat Collins' Beneficial mare, in the colours of Killian McDonnell, kept going gamely in the final furlong to hold off the market-leaders, Apt Manor and Benefique by a head and a length.
Collins trains in County Down and he said: "I have four horses in training and I have to give the credit for this to Jason. He is a very under-rated rider. He doesn't get the opportunities he deserves as I think he is a top-class amateur. This is a good honest mare and the 4 hour journey down was worth it."
