Taipan's show the way to opposition
Taipan's Way showed a clean pair of heels to his rivals when running out a comfortable winner of the William Fry Novice Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse.
This victory completed a double for the in-form trainer/jockey combination of Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh who were also successful with Serpentaria in the opening race of the day.
Mullins said afterwards: "he jumped super and is improving. I bought him as a National horse for Mr. Hemmings and hopefully one day he will achieve that dream."
Jockey Davy Russell was stood down for the remainder of the afternoon following his fall when partnering Plaisir D'Estruval in the race.
