Street Kid was good once finding the racing room to deliver his finishing effort in the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Maiden at Cork.
The season’s leading rider Shane Foley had to wait for a gap on the Street Boss colt.
His former owner Jon Kelly recently passed away, and now for racing for his wife, Sarah, this fellow scooted away on the inner from the furlong pole to beat Tar Heel by three lengths.
Jessica Harrington trains Street Kid and her stable jockey Foley said: “He disappointed on his second run but he was a bit sore after it and we gave him some time.
“In fairness his work has come good and he enjoyed that slow ground. It’s quite testing out there and there isn’t much yielding in it.
“He doesn’t like being in front too soon. You could see when he got there that he had a bit of a look.”
