The Andy Slattery trained Sors maintained his unbeaten record at Dundalk's all-weather track today, landing his second win in the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Rated Race.
Ridden by Declan McDonogh, the son of Acclamation displayed great battling qualities to eventually shake off the challenge of Prince Connoisseur
Sors' only previous win came on his only previous run at the venue in September 2014 and following today's success, Slattery stated "he was gelded earlier in the year but had a hard time and is only recovering now.
"I'm beginning to think he's a sprinter - he doesn't work like a sprinter as he's lazy. He was a bit wrong at the weights today but we said we'd try it today, let him jump out and rattle. He's back to somewhere near his best and hopefully there is more to come."
