Well-backed Solar Breeze (12s - 11/2) gained a first win on her tenth run and all-weather debut today, landing Dundalk's View Restaurant At Dundalk (Fillies) Maiden for trainer Sheila Lavery and jockey Robbie Colgan.
The Kodiac filly had placed in Curragh and Naas maidens last summer and today, with a rating of 70, proved three and a quarter lengths too strong for Lauroline
Trainer Lavery said “nothing has ever been wrong with her but she has just been unlucky not to have won a race.
“We weren't sure would she handle the surface so was I full of confidence, no. I ran three horses on Wednesday and they ran appallingly, so I wasn't full of confidence after how they went.
"She did that really well and Robbie (Colgan) said she liked the surface so I'll just have a look at the programme. I haven't thought beyond today."
