Socksy ground out victory in the concluding mares bumper at Thurles when claiming Freeway Space inside the final furlong.
The 4/7 favourite hit the front with a circuit to run and looked to have her rivals in trouble turning for home in the two-miler.
Socksy stuck to her task well, under Jane Mangan, and pressed the hotpot going to the furlong marker.
Jimmy Mangan's charge got on top inside the final 100 yards to record a length-and-a-quarter success at odds of 16/1.
The winner had two outings over hurdles last year, finishing fifth at Listowel on her last appearance in June.
"She stays and I'd have to give credit to Jane as she gave her a cool calm ride. She has been finding it hard to lose the three pounds claim but it's a help!” said Mangan senior.
"She is owned by Cidric Brookes who also owns The Govaness."
