The Andy Slattery trained Emadee made a winning debut at Naas today, landing the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden with a last-gasp win under Declan McDonogh.
The daughter of Zebedee was checked with less than a furlong to run but stayed on strongly close home to move past Brick By Brick at the line, for a short head win.
Afterwards Slattery stated “she worked in Tipperary where Billy Lee rode her and he liked her a lot. She is a good filly, and we'll take our time with her now and look for black type.
"I expected her to need the run today and be going for her maiden the next day; we felt she would like six furlongs and some cut in the ground but she's handled five and good ground there."
