The first division of the Bar One Racing 50 Euro Free Bet Handicap saw top weight Ghumama win readily at odds of 11/1.
It was a breakthrough success for Denis Hogan’s charge who was placed at this venue a couple of times last year.
Having tracked the leaders, the daughter of Dawn Approach was clearly travelling best on the turn into the straight. In front over a furlong out, she raced clear to account for Aleksey Tolstoy by three and three quarter lengths.
Winning rider Joey Sheridan said: "Yes, she did (put them away well). We went even away and I was able to sit in behind the leaders and fill her with confidence the whole way down to the furlong pole.
"Fair play to Denis (Hogan), he has his horses in top order at the moment and long may it last.
"I think she is in for Killarney on Thursday (over a mile) and hopefully she might do the business there again.
"She bounced off that (surface) and I'm sure she might have another trip over hurdles soon."
