Shanahan wins opener at Sligo
The opening race this evening at Sligo was won by Tracey Collin's Lough Mist ridden by Pat Shanahan and owned by Jack & Joe Maloney Syndicate.
Collins afterwards said, "I'm delighted for the filly she ran really well here the last day, she ran into a nice place behind a good horse called Beth. She's a very smart filly and Pat gave her a beautiful ride, we've no plans for her yet. The owners are from Waterford and it took them 5 hours to get here I'd imagine the journey home will be shorter."
