Wayne Lordan's recent purple patch continued at Fairyhouse today when the jockey partnered his seventh winner in as many days when steering Pearl Earing to win the Lyrath Estate Summer Ladies Day 13th July Rated Race for trainer David Wachman.
Lordan completed a treble at Cork on May 23 before following up with winners at the Curragh (Group 3 Greenlands Stakes) on both Saturday and Sunday and also steered a winner on the last day with Flat racing in Ireland, at Ballinrobe on Monday.
Following Pearl Earing's three parts of a length win over Lady Ultra Wachman stated “Wayne gave her a good ride. If the ground got softer we might chance her in a few black-type races and that's her trip - six or seven furlongs.”
