Salesin gets there eventually
Salesin justified favouritism in style in the opening www.corkracecourse.ie Maiden Hurdle for the Madden father and son team of Niall senior and junior.
Making all, the chestnut son of Lomitas, carrying cheek-pieces, was clear throughout, he jumped great and he stayed on well from before the second last to beat Commandment by thirteen lengths.
Madden senior commented: "It's great he won. He has been knocking at the door and he has had three quick runs now but I had to run him because he was getting the allowances.
"He might go for a novice chase now. I thought Tyner's horse (Commandment) was going to pick him up but he kept going well. He likes the fast ground and even with the rain the boys said they are only barely getting into it."
Salesin, a winner on the level for Luca Cumani, and at Wexford since joining Madden, was scoring here on his seventeenth attempt over jumps.
