Sales-bound Lane deservedly lands bumper
Burrows Lane and Finny Maguire sees off Stolen Diamond and Steven Clements

In the words of commentator Jerry Hannon favourite Burrows Lane (6/5) "ranges up on the outside having run in snatches," but that proved no barrier to success for Liz Doyle's experienced Astarabad gelding as he won the closer at Kilbeggan, the Tom Birmingham Menswear INH Flat Race.
Finny Maguire 's mount had the favoured inner route in the straight and that helped as he fended off a determined effort from the newcomer, Stolen Diamond by half a length. Apasionado didn't have a great 'trip' on the inner on the approach to the straight, and he ended up three lengths off them in third.
"He's been second three times so it's great to get his head in front," said Miss Doyle.
"I've had him since a foal. He'll probably go to the sales now as the owner is a seller. It's great to get the win before he goes and he deserves it."
