Salam Alaykum (well-punted from 8s this morning into a returned 11/2) made start number two for Reggie Roberts a winning one when taking the Cross Charity Handicap at Leopardstown under John Egan.
Never far from the pace in the huge twenty three strong field, the victorious Galileo colt found plenty for pressure in the straight to go on and beat the nicely-supported Placere (8s into 11/2) by two lengths.
Johnny Feane, representing Roberts, said: "He'll step up in trip and he's not a bad type of horse.
"He'll stay two miles and we've no plans. We'll have to sit down with the owner (Khaled A Rahim) and have a chat." (GC & EM)
