An Saighdiur continued a fine season for trainer Andy Slattery when claiming the Al Ain Racecourse Handicap at the Curragh today.
Heavy rain lashed the racecourse as they jumped for the seven-furlong contest but it was no issue for the nine-year-old who made all the running under Billy Lee.
The Acclamation gelding stuck on well from over a furlong out to run out a convincing length-and-three-quarters winner at odds of 8/1.
It was an eleventh career victory for An Saighdiur, who was following up a win on heavy ground at Sligo earlier in the month.
