John Ryan is always a man to be feared at Ballinrobe and he struck again when the Cedars Stud Partnership-owned Reach Up (8/1) landed the McWilliam Park Hotel (C & G) Maiden Hurdle under Tommy Brett.
Always up there dictating, Reach Up saw off It's Only A Number approaching the last to secure a four and three parts of a length verdict.
"He's a good horse - he was just very babyish and green," commented Brett.
"He's just improved with time. The track today suited him down to the ground.
"All he's going to do is improve and get better."
