Davy Russell completed a double at Punchestown today, completing feat on the John O’Callaghan trained Dazzling Susie in the jogforjockeys.ie Mares Hurdle.

Dazzling Susie made all but needed to battle gamely to see off the persistent challenge of Jacksonslady from the final flight.

Afterwards O’Callaghan stated “normally Dazzling Susie is very free but in front today she was lazy if anything.”

“Davy popped a few hurdles on her recently and she was very good and while I was worried about the ground, it was grand out there. She’ll have a break now and will run in those mares novice hurdles during the winter.”
