Russell closes the gap
Davy Russell moved back to within four winners of Paul Townend at the head of the Jump Jockeys’ Championship (77-73) when steering Face Facts to a last gasp win in the Ba Morley Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Ballinrobe today.
Afterwards winning trainer Prunella Dobbs stated “Face Facts has been knocking on the door quite a bit recently and deserved that.”
“He is by Luso, and those horses take an extra bit of time to come to themselves. He’ll stay handicapping now.”
Regarding Dobbs’ stablestar Our Girl Salley, the trainer said she disappointed at Fairyhouse and we’re going to test her bloods before deciding on whether or not to run at Punchestown.“”
