The Cuisine De France Handicap Hurdle was won by the Gareth Power trained Better Than Jewels ridden by Davy Russell and owned by the trainers father Patrick Power.

Gareth Power trainer said, "That's my first winner of the season, they have been running well but just not clicking, so it's great to get the winner in."

Russell raced his mount in mid-division, made progress 2 out, improved to lead at last and stayed on well to win by an easy 12 lengths.
