Royal lands a touch in the finale
Royal Blue Star sent punters home happy at Navan when making all to justify good support in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
Fran Berry 's mount, 4/1 this morning and backed on track from 9/4 into 7/4 favourite, kept on well from over a furlong out to beat chief market-rival Dubai Bay (9/4, from 3/1) by three and a half lengths.
Trainer Jessica Harrington was represented by her husband Johnny, who said: “She didn't stay at Dundalk (1m2f) last time but this was probably an ordinary enough race. We'll give her a little break before trying to find something else.”
