In first-time cheek-pieces Park Row (7/1, from 10s) prevailed under Gary Halpin in the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Apprentice Handicap at Dundalk.
John Feane trains Park Row and he also owns the now dual course victor in a partnership bearing his name.
Park Row short headed Maincin having travelled through well from mid-division to lead in the final hundred and fifty yards, just holding on at the finish.
"I was standing a furlong down, where I always stand, and thought he was going to win easy passing me. He toughed it out in the end," said Feane.
"He pulls up in front and that's why we have the cheek-pieces on him.
"Michael Finneran, manager of Roscommon racecourse, is involved in him, and it's great that he's won for him tonight.
"He does plenty of work at Roscommon so to get a winner for him is good."
