Trainer Paddy Rogers succeeded where Frankel's trainer failed when getting Romantic to win a race, shedding his maiden tag in the www.thetote.com Maiden at Dundalk this evening.
Ridden by Ben Curtis, the son of Holy Roman Emperor was produced very late to eventually defeat 7/4 joint favourites Zeftan and Energize
The winner had raced seven times, without success, for Sir Henry Cecil and Rogers was quick with his quip, saying “the air in Newmarket didn't suit him!
He added “he was unlucky last week and I thought he had a hell of a chance tonight. He's a good horse and his breeding would tell you that. Its been a while coming though but it's great to get it!
