Trainer Ken Condon and his retained apprentice Ross Coakley teamed up to win the Visit Our New Website www.gowranpark.ie Apprentice Handicap at Gowran today with Roja Dove

Roja Dove, having her second career win, and Coakley got the better of a tight finish to edge out Orion's Might by a head.

Afterwards Condon, having his fifth winner this season, stated “it was a funny race. We thought coming from stall 16 it would be difficult and that we'd have to slot in and do the best we could but she got out quite quickly.”

He added “she won off 50 last year, was running off 54 today so she has nothing up her sleeve and is what she is. We'll look for something similar and it will do Ross no harm either as he's had a few seconds recently.”
