Waterford city teenager, Dylan Robinson (18) attained a career highlight when partnering his fourth winner, on Fionnuar in the European Breeders Fund Coolmore Stud Ulster Oaks Fillies Handicap at Down Royal.
After the success 7Ib claimer Robinson disclosed: "That's my biggest win and I'm delighted. She was cruising along and as soon as I let her down away she went."
Fionnuar soon led and made virtually all. She was still travelling well two furlongs out and the Teofilo filly soon asserted. Inside the final furlong she was pushed out and kept on well to beat Valbucca by a length.
Fionnuar, a home-bred Jim Bolger runner, was defying the handicapper to follow-up a Leopardstown win from June 7th. Cnocan Diva (16s into 7s) finished 5th whilst Opera Gloves the favourite, ran as if something was amiss, finishing a detached last of the ten. (MG & EM)
