Rene Humor's Prendergast on birthday
Kevin Prendergast missed seeing his Humor Me Rene supplying a 78th birthday present when she bolted-up by two and a half lengths in the Supervalu's Roscommon Handicap.
Owned by Prendergast's wife Lesley, Sam James was aboard the American-bred daughter of Kitten's Joy. She was following-up a Tipperary win (over 7f and got a 10Ib hike) and here she led two furlongs out and went clear inside the last for a two and a half length win from At Present
James (19) originally from Wales, was riding his second winner of the campaign and his eighth in all.
The Master of Friarstown was present at Roscommon earlier in the evening when he was out of luck, saddling the second-placed When Not Iff
