Redemption for Bob at Ballinrobe
Bob Le Beau and Robbie Power win at Ballinrobe

Connections and backers Bob Le Beau must have been pretty despondent when the former Listed winner on the level was emphatically beaten at odds of 9/10 at Limerick last time. However there was redemption for the six-year-old in the Mayo News Maiden Hurdle at Ballinrobe under Robbie Power.
The easier track and a change of tactics helped the 9/2 shot get the better of favourite Spot Fine from before the straight.
He then had to fend off the well-backed Phillys Fancy (7s into 7/2) which he managed to achieve from the back of the last by two and a quarter lengths.
Power explained of the Jessica Harrington-trained and Dean Ryan-owned victor: "He's a brilliant jumper. We decided to change tactics with him because we cut his throat the last day.
"He stays well and he's very genuine." (DM & EM)
