Jim Bolger's quick start to the new turf Flat season continued with a win in the opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at Gowran today with Rapid Approach
The son of New Approach, under Kevin Manning, disputed the lead for much of the race and was eventually all out to narrowly defeat Coquette Noir.
Afterwards Bolger stated “he's hardy and will have plenty more races before going to the Tattersalls Horses-In-Training Sale at the Guineas meeting at Newmarket; he goes on any ground.”
The win was Bolger's eighth of the new turf season.
