Rampere West (4/1) followed up his handicap debut success at Wexford when getting up late in the day to land Tramore's 2m4f handicap hurdle. Serienmond given a canny front-running ride by Danny Mullins, was clear of his rivals for much of the journey.
Given a breather on the final circuit, the leader still held a useful advantage at the second-last after which the Ricky Doyle-ridden Rampere West moved into second. The latter soon began to narrow the deficit and stayed on strongly after the last to reel in Serienmond close home for a three-parts of a length success.
The Affinisea gelding is trained by Mark Fahey who said: "We were surprised he won the last day as he is only a four-year-old and was in against older horses but he is obviously progressing. As long as he stays progressing we will be happy. He is a grand horse and, as long as we can keep him in one piece, he should have a good future.
"We have no plan with him, he might go out on a break now, we'll see. I'm surprised he even handled the ground, so we might keep him going for another while.
"The horses are going well and a great bunch of lads (Pegasus Racing Ltd) own this fella."
