Prendergast wins another feature at Galway
The feature race of the day The Michael McNamara & Co Builders Dublin & Galway Handicap was won by Kevin Prendergasts Almass with apprentice Sam James on board in the colours of Hamdan Al Maktoum.
Sam James who is orginally from Wales is apprenticed to Kevin Prendergast and claiming the 10 pounds is proving to be a very valuable addition to the Prendergast team. It's the jockeys second winner his first winner came aboard this horse in Gowran Park a few weeks ago. James settled his mount in behind the leaders and led inside final furlong to win by a convincing 2 lengths.
