Prendergast takes opener at Curragh
The opening race of the Curragh Derby Festival, the Kildare Village EBF (C&G) Maiden was won by the Kevin Prendergast trained Kingsfort under Declan McDonogh for owner Norman Ormiston.
Winning trainer Prendergast said afterwards, “He’s a very smart horse and I think he will make a National Stakes horse and we’ll try and guide there. We might give him a run before then. He was very professional for horse that has never been away from home. “
