Polly bosses Dundalk rivals
Polly Pomona holds off Attire at Dundalk

Poly Pomona appears to be a strong good-bodied daughter of Green Desert and she got off the mark at the ninth attempt when landing the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden at Dundalk under Luke Dempsey.
Dempsey always had the Andrew Tinkler and Tommy Carmody runner (first-time cheek-pieces) on the pace (she made most).
It appeared that Attire would be a big danger if she could secure a gap under Connor King from the two furlong pole.
That Danehill Dancer filly got racing room in plenty of time but at the line she was still a length and a quarter down.
Dempsey revealed: "She was lazy in front but when they came to her she battled and done it well."
James Barrett 's runner, Saga Barbara shortened up dramatically in the betting from 20/1 earlier in the day into 11/2 but she could only manage fourth of the five runners. (GC & EM)
