The Garvan Donnelly trained Plough Boy gained a seventh career win when taking the Plusvital Handicap at the Curragh today, winning under capable claimer Killian Leonard.
The son of Dandy Man race with the pace and in the end battled to a three parts of a a length win over Texas Rock
Donnelly later stated “he's been running solid races but has been hitting the crossbar all year and it's nice to get one, especially here.
"We'll look at the Festival meetings like Killarney and Listowel and I think the tighter tracks suit him - I was worried about that today.
“He's very game and genuine and and Killian's (Leonard) 7lbs claim made all the difference.
