Conditions are sure to be windy for what promises to be a highly informative fixture at Navan today where a Status Yellow wind warning will be in operation for an eight-race card beginning at 11.30am.
A Status Orange wind warning is in place at present due to the effects of Storm Darragh but Met Eireann forecast that will be reduced to a Status Yellow warning from 10am.
There has been 15mm of rain since declarations and the going is now described as yielding.
There are over 130 runners declared with plenty of star names such as Cheltenham bumper winner Jasmin De Vaux making his debut over hurdles while Grade 1 winner Good Land and Ile Atlantique clash in the beginners chase.
The €100,000 Bective Stud, Tea Rooms And Apartments Handicap Hurdle is the feature race with Irish Grand National winner Intense Raffles carrying topweight and ridden by Bryony Frost.
The supporting card includes the Grade 2 Tote Navan Novice Hurdle and the €45,000 Timeless Sash Windows Foxrock Handicap Chase.
