High-class novice hurdler Min took the transition to fences in style as he landed odds of 1/3 at his ease in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Beginners Chase at Navan.

Susannah Ricci's Walk In The Park gelding had a little look at the first under Ruby Walsh, but he was soon dictating from the front in the two mile one furlong event.

A slight mistake three out made no difference whatsoever as Min was soon easing away from the opposition. At the line he had ten lengths in hand over Three Wise Men

Winning trainer Willie Mullins said afterwards: "He jumped well, and I'm really delighted with him. We can now look forward to his next race which will probably be at Christmas.

"I'd say he will stay over this distance at Leopardstown. I don't see any need to step up in trip as he's happy at that distance."
